NeuralFill Privacy Policy

NeuralFill is a local-only Chrome extension. All data you enter — including your profile information, documents, and generated text — is stored exclusively on your own device inside your Chrome browser. No data is ever transmitted to any external server, API, or third party.

What We Store

• Profile data (name, email, address, job title, social links, etc.) — stored in chrome.storage.local, encrypted with AES-GCM 256-bit encryption.
• Your PIN — never stored in plain text. Hashed with PBKDF2-SHA256 before storage. The original PIN is never recoverable.
• Knowledge Base documents (PDFs, DOCX, TXT files you upload) — stored in your browser's IndexedDB. Text is chunked locally; original files are not retained.
• Fill history — a local log of which sites you filled and how many fields, kept only on your device.
• Settings — preferences such as answer length, badge visibility, and per-site profile bindings, stored in chrome.storage.local.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
• We do not connect to any external server. The extension's Content Security Policy enforces connect-src 'none'.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or any third-party SDK.
• We do not access your data except to perform the form-filling actions you explicitly trigger.

AI Processing

NeuralFill uses Gemini Nano, Google's on-device AI model built into Chrome. All AI inference runs locally on your CPU/GPU. No prompt text or generated output is sent off your device. This is enforced by the extension's zero-network architecture.

Data Removal

All data can be deleted at any time by removing the extension from Chrome (chrome://extensions → Remove). This permanently deletes all stored profiles, documents, and settings from your device.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
